AI 만드는 사람들이 'AI 조심하라'고 했다는 거다.

그것도 한두 명이 아니라 200여명이 한꺼번에..

노벨 경제학상 수상자와 주요 AI 기업 전문가 200여명이 공동 성명을 냈다.

노벨상 수상자만 16명이다.

메시지는 하나로 모인다. AI발 경제 충격에 지금부터 대비하자는 것.

보도에 따르면 성명은 "AI가 산업혁명보다 큰 변화를 몰고 온다"고 표현했다.

이름값이 왜 중요한가?

그냥 학자 200명이 아니다.

노벨상 수상자 쪽부터 보면 이렇다.

이 조합이 한목소리를 내는 건.. 흔한 일이 아니다.

멈추자는 게 아니라 준비하자는 것

이 성명은 'AI 멈춰라'가 아니다.

요구는 구체적이다.

AI의 경제적 영향을 연구하고, 기술이 인간 노동을 보완하는 방향으로 가도록 인센티브와 안전장치, 제도를 마련하자는 것.

정책과 제도를 지금 만들자는 얘기다.

이들이 짚은 위험 두 가지

성명이 짚은 위험은 두 가지다.

  • 대규모 실업
  • 소득·부의 집중

일자리가 사라지는 것, 그리고 그 과실이 소수에게 몰리는 것.

만드는 쪽이 이걸 먼저 말했다는 게 무겁다..

결국 '일자리'랑 '내 밥벌이' 얘기다.

AI가 정말 산업혁명급 변화라면, 바뀌는 건 남 일이 아니다.

만드는 사람들이 이 정도로 미리 대비하자고 할 정도면..

나도 한 번쯤은 내 일이 어떻게 바뀔지 생각해둘 만하다.

전문가들이 겁주려는 게 아니다. '지금부터 제도를 만들자'는 요구에 가깝다.

거창하게 볼 것 없다.

내 일에서 AI를 어디에 써먹을 수 있을지, 그거 하나만 챙겨도 이미 시작이다.

The message lands on one thing: start preparing now for AI's economic shock.

According to reports, the statement said AI "brings a change bigger than the Industrial Revolution."

This lineup speaking with one voice.. isn't common.

Not stop AI — prepare for it

This statement isn't "stop AI."

The ask is specific.

Study AI's economic impact, and put in place incentives, safeguards and institutions that steer the technology toward complementing human labor.

Build the policy and the institutions now.

The two risks they flag

The statement flags two risks.

  • Mass unemployment
  • Concentration of income and wealth

Jobs disappearing — and the gains piling up with a few.

The fact that the builders said it first carries weight..

It comes down to jobs and paychecks

In the end, it's about "jobs" and "how I make a living."

If AI really is an Industrial-Revolution-scale change, what shifts isn't someone else's problem.

When the builders themselves say to prepare this early..

it's worth thinking, at least once, about how my own work might change.

The experts aren't trying to scare anyone. It reads more like a demand: build the institutions now.

No need to make it grand.

Just figuring out where you can put AI to use in your own work is already a start.
