구글은 제미나이 앱에서 음악 생성기 '리리아'로 바로 곡을 만들 수 있다고 안내합니다. 원하는 곡을 설명하면 음악과 가사를 함께 만들고, 완성된 곡은 내려받거나 공유할 수 있다는 설명입니다. 알고 시작하면 좋은 게 두 가지입니다. 활동 기록 보관이 켜져 있어야 하고, 2~3분짜리 전체 곡을 만들려면 모델을 'Pro'로 바꿔야 합니다.
네이버 지식iN에서 'AI 음악 만들기'로 검색되는 질문이 9월 24일 기준 1만3천 건이 넘습니다.
■ 만드는 순서
개인 구글 계정이나 지원되는 직장·학교 계정으로 로그인하고, 활동 기록 보관이 켜져 있어야 합니다. 그다음 입력창 하단의 업로드 및 도구에서 '음악 만들기'를 누르고 곡을 설명하면 됩니다.
분위기를 잡을 이미지나 영상을 함께 올릴 수도 있습니다. 구글은 추가 맥락으로 쓰라고 안내합니다.
길이는 둘 중에 고릅니다. 약 1분짜리 짧은 곡과 약 2~3분짜리 전체 곡입니다. 전체 곡을 만들려면 모델을 'Pro'로 바꾸라는 안내가 중요 표시와 함께 붙어 있습니다.
■ 무엇을 적어야 하나
요청은 어떻게 써야 원하는 곡에 가까워질까요?
구글이 준 요령은 세 가지입니다. '써 줘', '작곡해 줘', '만들어 줘' 같은 말로 시작할 것, 모던 컨트리나 힙합, 인디 록, 빅밴드 스윙처럼 원하는 장르를 적고 필요하면 악기도 지정할 것, 그리고 곡에 나오는 대상과 그 대상이 하는 일, 배경을 구체적으로 넣을 것입니다.
예시도 있습니다. "고양이에 관한 내 팟캐스트의 인트로 트랙을 만들어 줘", "느긋하고 우울한 분위기와 단순한 피아노 멜로디가 있는 로파이 힙합 비트를 작곡해 줘", "내 고향을 그리워하는 노래를 써 줘" 같은 문장입니다.
■ 내려받기와 표시
만든 곡은 커버 이미지가 붙은 동영상 파일로 나옵니다. 트랙 이미지 오른쪽 위의 '다운로드'에서 커버 아트가 들어간 MP4 동영상이나 오디오만 담긴 MP3 중 하나로 받을 수 있고, '공유'에서 링크를 복사해 보낼 수도 있습니다.
만든 곡에는 표시가 들어갑니다. 구글은 생성된 모든 곡에 AI가 만든 곡임을 알 수 있는 디지털 워터마크를 넣는다고 밝혔습니다.
무제한은 아닙니다. 리리아로 만들 수 있는 곡 수에는 한도가 있어 넘으면 알림이 뜨고, 구독을 올리거나 한도가 초기화될 때까지 기다려야 합니다.

Google says you can create tracks directly in the Gemini app with its music generator, Lyria: describe the track and it produces music and lyrics, which you can download or share. Two things help to know up front: Keep Activity must be on, and a full 2-3 minute track requires switching the model to Pro.
On Naver's Q&A service, a search for 'making AI music' returns more than 13,000 questions as of September 24.
■ How to make one
Sign in with a personal Google account or a supported work or school account, with Keep Activity turned on. Then, under upload and tools below the text box, click Create music and describe the track.
You can also upload an image or video to set the mood - Google suggests using it for additional context.
Choose between a short track of about a minute and a full track of about two to three minutes. Full tracks carry an important note: switch the model to Pro.
■ What to write
How do you get closer to the song you have in mind?
Google gives three tips: start with words like 'write', 'compose' or 'create'; name the genre - modern country, hip-hop, indie rock, big band swing - and instruments if you want; and include details such as who the track is about, what they are doing and the setting.
Its examples include "Create an intro track for my podcast about cats," "Compose a lo-fi hip-hop beat with a mellow, melancholy mood and a simple piano melody," and "Write a song about missing my hometown."
■ Downloads and marks
Tracks come as a video file with a custom cover image. From Download at the top right of the track image you can save an MP4 video with cover art or an audio-only MP3, and Share copies a link to send.
Every generated track carries a digital watermark identifying it as AI-generated, Google says.
It is not unlimited: there is a cap on how many tracks Lyria can make; hit it and you are notified, and must upgrade or wait for the limit to reset.
