블로그를 하다가 'AI 브리핑에 인용됐다'는 말을 들었다면, 그 요약의 근거로 내 글이 출처에 걸렸다는 뜻입니다. 네이버는 이 인용 수를 창작자 지원 프로그램의 선정 기준으로도 씁니다.

네이버는 2025년 3월 27일 AI 브리핑을 내놨습니다. 따로 가입하지 않아도 PC와 모바일 통합검색에서 누구나 봅니다.
모든 검색어에 뜨지는 않습니다. 정답이 있거나 여러 콘텐츠를 살펴봐야 하는 정보성 질문에서 검색 결과 맨 위에 나옵니다.
'운전면허 갱신 구비서류'처럼 공식 정보가 있는 질문은 정부·공공기관 같은 공식 출처로 답을 요약하고 해당 페이지로 연결합니다. 드라마 결말이나 유행어처럼 답이 하나로 정리되지 않는 질문은 블로그·카페·클립 등 여러 출처를 묶어 요약합니다.
요약 아래에는 이어서 물어볼 만한 후속 질문이 붙습니다.
더 묻고 싶으면 AI탭으로
요약만으로 부족하면 대화형 검색 'AI탭'으로 넘어갑니다. 네이버는 6월 26일 AI탭을 전체 사용자에게 정식 출시했습니다.
모바일과 PC 검색창의 AI탭 버튼을 누르면 됩니다. 네이버앱에서는 검색홈의 '그린닷' 자리가 AI탭으로 바뀌었고, 7월부터는 AI 브리핑 아래 대화창에서도 AI탭으로 이어집니다.
AI탭은 답을 주는 데서 그치지 않고 예약이나 쇼핑까지 연결합니다. 식당이나 카페를 찾으면 답변 안에서 지도와 실시간 예약 가능 시간대를 보여 줍니다.
4월 네이버플러스 멤버십 이용자 대상 베타로 시작해, 약 2개월 만에 누적 사용자 400만 명을 넘었습니다.
내 글이 인용됐다면
AI 브리핑은 답변과 함께 근거로 쓴 블로그 등 출처 콘텐츠를 보여 줍니다. '인용됐다'는 건 내 글이 그 출처에 올라 검색한 사람에게 연결됐다는 뜻입니다.
인용은 수익과도 이어집니다. 네이버는 올해 6월 '네이버 메이트'를 시작했습니다. AI 브리핑 인용 수와 주제별 전문성, 활동성을 종합해 매월 약 3,000명을 뽑는 프로그램입니다.
선정되면 기본 활동비로 월 30만 원을 받습니다. 10개 분야마다 대표 창작자 1명에게 월 1,000만 원, 우수 창작자 10명에게 월 300만 원을 더 줍니다.
7월 명단에서는 약 절반이 새로 이름을 올렸습니다. 전문 창작자부터 신생 창작자까지 들어갔다고 네이버는 밝혔습니다.
네이버는 AI 브리핑 도입 전인 2025년 2월보다 2026년 6월의 창작자 지원 규모(애드포스트·브랜드 커넥트·네이버 메이트 합산)가 약 2배로 늘었다고 밝혔습니다. 애드포스트 지급액도 같은 기간 약 14% 늘었습니다.
검색하는 쪽이라면 요약 아래 출처를 눌러 원문을 확인하면 됩니다. 글 쓰는 쪽이라면, 직접 겪은 경험과 한 주제를 꾸준히 쌓은 기록이 AI 시대에 더 중요해진다는 게 네이버의 설명입니다.
The box with a summarized answer at the top of Naver search results is AI Briefing. Naver's in-house AI, HyperCLOVA X, summarizes several documents and shows the sources it drew on.
If you blog and hear that you were 'cited in AI Briefing,' it means your post was listed as a source behind that summary. Naver also uses the citation count to pick creators for a support program.
On Naver's Q&A service, a search for 'AI Briefing' returns 2,157 questions as of October 6.
The summary box at the top of results
Naver launched AI Briefing on March 27, 2025. Anyone sees it in PC and mobile search without signing up for anything.
It does not appear for every query. It shows at the top of results for informational questions that have a clear answer or call for looking across several pieces of content.
For questions with official information, such as the documents needed to renew a driver's license, it summarizes official sources like government and public agencies and links to them. For questions without a single answer, such as a drama's ending or a new slang term, it summarizes several sources including blogs, cafes and clips.

For more, move to the AI tab
If the summary is not enough, move to the conversational AI tab. Naver launched it officially for all users on June 26.
Tap the AI tab button in the mobile or PC search bar. In the Naver app, the 'Green Dot' spot on the search home became the AI tab, and since July you can also continue into it from the chat box under AI Briefing.
The AI tab goes beyond answers to bookings and shopping: when you look for a restaurant or cafe, it shows a map and available real-time reservation slots inside the answer.
It started in April as a beta for Naver Plus members and passed 4 million cumulative users in about two months.
If your post was cited
AI Briefing shows the blogs and other content it used as the basis for its answer. Being 'cited' means your post appeared among those sources and was linked to the person searching.
Citations also connect to income. In June, Naver started Naver Mate, a program that picks about 3,000 creators a month based on AI Briefing citations, topic expertise and activity.
Selected creators get a base activity fee of 300,000 won a month. In each of 10 fields, one lead creator gets an extra 10 million won a month and 10 standout creators get an extra 3 million won.
About half of the creators on the July list were new to it, ranging from professional creators to newcomers, Naver said.
Naver says combined creator support (AdPost, Brand Connect and Naver Mate) in June 2026 was about double that of February 2025, before AI Briefing, and AdPost payouts rose about 14% over the same period.
